'Awards for All' funding being put into place.
St. Mary’s outdoors has become a very busy area with the beginnings of our ‘Awards for All’ funding being put into place. With the help of a local gardener the children have been busy planting their orchard- with apple, pear and plum trees. In between they have dug deep holes for the raspberries, gooseberries, white currant and black currant bushes. To the top of the raised beds they planted rhubarb and strawberry plants in rich organic soil. To top it all off they have a Silver Birch Mini Wooded area to attract mini beasts and birds with two really impressive willow structures to weave their way in and out of. Now we all need is the weather to warm up to enjoy our outdoor learning area.
