Children of Lir

On the run up to St. Patrick's day, pupils
from St. Mary's found out about an Irish legend namely: ‘Children of Lir'.
Under the expert guidance of Donegal Story Teller, Patsy
Cavanagh, the children experienced the story of the great king Lir and his four lovely children - Fionnuala,
Conn, Fiachra and Aodh and of their not-so-nice stepmother, Aoife through song, story and drama.
Pupils from P4 to P7 took on different roles within the drama and through Patsy's beautiful music re-inacted the drama. To read the story click here:
