As a Catholic school community, St. Mary’s Primary, Stewartstown joins with the Church across the world in mourning the passing of Pope Francis.
This morning, we learned of the death of a truly humble and courageous servant of God, who led our Church with deep compassion, unwavering faith, and a heart devoted to justice and mercy.
Pope Francis was a beacon of hope and love in our world—an inspiring disciple of Christ who reminded us through word and action of the power of kindness, forgiveness, and care for all creation.
We give thanks for his remarkable life and leadership, and we pray that we may continue to follow his example here in St. Mary’s through acts of love, inclusion, and service.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
