World War 2
9th Feb 2011
As part of our W.A.U. programme the Primary 5/6 class are learning about WW2. We have researched information on Rationing, Evacuations and the Belfast Blitz. The children have found this topic very exciting and enjoyable. They have gathered alot of photographs and artefacts from Grannies and Grandas about the War. Mrs Laverty, a valued member of the Stewartstown Historical Society, came in to our class on Wednesday 9th February and talked to the children about her experiences and memories of the War, the children loved listening to her.
