Policies

At St. Mary’s, we are committed to maintaining up-to-date policies that align with the recommendations of the Department of Education. Our policies are regularly reviewed and revised to ensure they reflect best practices and the needs of our school community.

Parents of children starting school receive copies of all relevant policies during their induction meeting in Term 3, before their child begins school. Additionally, any updates to policies and procedures are communicated to parents through the school newsletter, with information on how to access the full versions.

Once every two years, all parents are issued with a copy of the Pastoral Care and Child Protection guidelines in operation at St. Mary’s.

As new policies are ratified by the Board of Governors, they are being added to the school website. If a policy you require is not yet available online, please contact the school, and we will provide you with a copy.

Our policies include:

  • Teaching, Learning and Assessing Policy
  • Curriculum Learning Area Policies
  • Special Educational Needs (SEN) Policy
  • Pastoral Care Policy
  • Child Protection & Safeguarding Policy
  • Anti-Bullying Policy
  • Positive Behaviour Policy
  • e-Safety Policy
  • Relationships and Sexual Education (RSE) Policy
  • Administration of Medication Policy
  • School Uniform Policy
  • Parental Complaints Policy
  • Pupil Attendance Policy

If you have any questions or require access to a specific policy, please do not hesitate to contact us.
